I am a Research Scientist and Research Manager at Apple AI/ML, leading a team dedicated to tackling Machine Learning problems focusing on Large Language Models, and Computer Vision. Before joining Apple, I spent three years as a Senior Research Scientist in Waymo Research, where I led efforts on open vocabulary object detection/behaviour prediction, offboard perception, ML robustness, and 3D reconstruction. Prior to Waymo, during my time at Google Research, I focused on 3D object detection and shape prediction. Before that, I spent five years performing research in the intersection of machine learning and compute vision, primarily concentrating on object detection and machine learning robustness. My research has resulted in several publications in computer vision and machine learning conferences. For a comprehensive list of publications, please visit my Google Scholar profile.
I obtained my Ph.D. from the Computer Science department of the University of Maryland, where I was advised by Prof. Larry S. Davis. During my Ph.D., I was fortunate to have the chance to work with many steller researchers through internships at Google Research, Allen Institute for Artifical Intelligence (AI2), Adobe Research, and eBay Research.
