Mahyar Najibi
Co-founder & Chief Scientific Officer
I am a Co-founder of ElastixAI, where we are building a new foundation for AI inference. Our platform is built on reconfigurable hardware, letting us co-design machine learning, systems software, and the hardware itself to stay future-proof as models and optimization techniques evolve, which steadily reduces both cost per token and energy per token.
Before founding ElastixAI, I was a Senior AI/ML Manager at Apple, where I led teams advancing language and vision foundation models. Earlier, I was a Lead Scientist at Waymo Research, building perception and prediction systems that powered autonomous driving, and I worked on 3D perception at Google Research before that. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
